We have a staff of top quality quilters, and years of experience! The staff is always friendly, well okay we are not perfect, but we try hard to make your visit one you will want to repeat! Sew Elegant began in Peoria Heights, Illinois, and moved to Port Huron in 1992. We are beginning our 30th year in business, that's why the owner has so much gray - white hair..not bald yet! We have 9,000 bolts

of cotton fabric, about 105 bolts of flannel, Minky, wool, and some garment material, however our main interest is cotton fabrics. We have been adding more solid colored fabric, as well as the new trend "Gray" tones! We even have the the new black is orange! Okay a play on a show! If you are having trouble finding older fabric give us a call and we'll check our inventory to see if we can help you finish your projects!

In March of this year 2022, Sew Elegant owner Linda Anderson passed away. After much thought and sorrow the family of Linda has decided to close Sew Elegant Quilt Shoppe.

As we think about the joy Linda got from collecting fabric and notions, we want to share that with all of our customers. Please come help us celebrate Linda, add to your stash and say goodbye. The best way to celebrate Linda and her love of sewing craft is to share it with all of you!

Linda started Sew Elegant in Peoria Heights, Illinois focusing on needle work, hand sewing and smocking, after moving to the Port Huron area in 1992 Linda reopened Sew Elegant with a focus on quilting.

If you know of any sewing clubs for children, school programs or charitable organizations that could benefit from a donation please have them contact our store manager Julie Scoles. We would love to support the next generation of quilters and creators!

Our last day of operations will be July 15th. At that time any remaining inventory will go to a liquidation auction.

The family and loyal employees want to thank each of you that have visited us over the years. We will miss you all!

Sew Elegant will be closed on Wednesday June 8th to prepare for the start of the liquidation sale starting Thursday June 9th

All regularly priced merchandise will be 50% off.

Over 1000 bolts of fabric, 50% off. One yard minimum.
