The Fort Lauderdale office sadly lost a core and deeply valued member of our firm in the early hours of Sunday, January 11, 2026. Christopher Bray devoted more than 34 years to our team, focusing primarily on municipal and educational projects in his role as Senior Architectural Designer.
Chris took tremendous pride in the plans he created. He was known for his thoroughness, attention to detail, and disciplined approach to every project entrusted to him. Coming from a legacy of electrical engineers, Chris developed from a young age a deep understanding of the technical details that make buildings function successfully. As a result, he cared deeply about the quality of his work and the lasting impact each building would have within the communities it served.
A native Floridian from a large Irish Catholic family, Chris was a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School and later earned his degree from Florida A&M University’s School of Architecture. He spent his life in Hollywood, Florida, where he lived along the water with a small boat out back—a reflection of his love for the outdoors.
An avid boater, fisherman, camper, and outdoorsman, Chris truly lived for the weekends and his family and friends. He often found relaxation and joy “Margaritaville-style,” embracing life with a quiet appreciation for nature, camaraderie, and simple pleasures.
Chris will be remembered not only for his professional excellence and dedication, but also for his pride in his craft, his respect for community, and the steady presence he brought to our firm. He will be deeply missed and we will move forward with the knowledge that we are all better having shared our days with him.
