At a sushi restaurant in Japan, an octopus made one final fight for its life, and the chef couldn’t ignore it.
A chef was preparing an octopus that had been kept chilled on ice when one of its te****les suddenly moved.
Startled, he placed his knife down and stepped away. When he turned back, the octopus had wrapped a te****le around the handle and was moving it across the counter as if making one final attempt to defend itself.
The chef carefully removed the knife, but instead of continuing, he stopped the preparation entirely.
He placed the octopus in water, transported it to the coast, and released it back into the ocean.
When asked why he gave up an expensive meal, the chef said, “It fought too hard to live for me to take that away.”
The octopus entered the restaurant as dinner, but left because one man respected its final fight for life.
