Over the many years that I've been working for Morton Buildings, I have had to use materials from many different companies. Generally I use others' materials on repairs when, for one reason or another, we cannot use our 26 gauge commercial steel. (For instance, when we re-roof a hail damaged Non-Morton building, our steel is designed for going on a roof with purlins spaced at 24" on-center, but some companies put roof purlins spaced at 30" on-center to cut cost on their buildings.) In all the materials packages that I've come across and ordered, no other company wraps and protects their materials like Morton does. Their stuff comes unwrapped and even unbundled or lightly packaged with a thin wrap. It's dissapointing. Morton, on the other hand, carefully packages everything, wrapping steel in special protective inch-thick cardboard packaging and then wrapping it in plastic, securing all trims in trim crates/boxes, and sealing it all as good as possible; there it waits patiently and well protected until our crew can get out and begin construction. If it's going to be more than a couple days, we cover the lumber with black plastic. We care about how your building looks! The evidence is not only in our high quality materials and paint, but in how we treat the materials before our guys even begin construction.
