Next -1950s! We had a lot of family in town, and I forgot to take many pictures!

I channeled some soda fountain/diner vibes and included a glass milkshake glass with straws, a jukebox colored by my 6 year old, some 1950s cars (matchbox cars came out in the 1950s, so my 10 year old picked these out from his collection), silver bowls with toy ice cream, and an ice cream scooper.

Next up-1910s!

Taking a quick break from booth photos to share a fun family activity we have been doing. I wanted to make family dinners more "fancy" and introduce some history to my boys. Enter the idea of Decade Dinners. We started with 1900, and have done every decade through 1990. Each week highlighted a new decade, with coordinating decor, menu, music, and activity. Its been so fun, so I wanted to share in case others want to replicate at home. Everything can be modified to your liking, and tons of the decor items came from my booth at DeFrance Antiques on Beal.

First up- 1900!

Decor was a vintage tablecloth my great grandma made, some candles, and some greenery.

Menu included an herb roast chicken, asparagus, sparkling water to drink and rice pudding.

The kids were not a fan of the 1900 Spotify Playlist ("mom-this is weird"), but loved playing Charades!
