A whole month has already gone by?! 💀

Our next Flipstone Vintage Market is right around the corner, and we are almost FULL!

A little note from us... ❤️

We are so happy to see this little community we've been building continue to grow. Each month we have new vendors and so many come back every month!

We LOVE market days. We love seeing all of you show up, bringing together people who believe in supporting small businesses, shopping secondhand, and having fun saving textiles from the landfill!

One of our favorite parts of market day is getting to see everyone's outfits and their twist on secondhand fashion. We love hearing the stories behind the businesses, what inspired someone to start, what they're creating, and why they love doing it... It truly creates a place that reminds us the work we are doing really is all worth it.

There's something really special about having so many creative, hardworking people all in one place, sharing what they love with the community.

We genuinely couldn't do it without all of you. Whether you're setting up as a vendor, coming out to shop, bringing a friend, or simply sharing our posts, you're helping us build something that means a lot to us and Mother Earth.

We're so grateful for every single one of you, and we hope everyone has the BEST day at our market. 🖤

Our next Flipstone Vintage Market is coming up October 18th! Only 8 days away 🖤🧡

One of our favorite things about these markets is getting to bring so many creative people together in one place!
so much creativity and curation all together...

Come wander through the booths, find something you didn't know you needed, grab a coffee or matcha from Fort Worth Coffee & Vintage Micro-Cafe , and support some really cool local people doing their thing!

Expect vintage clothing, secondhand treasures, handmade goods, upcycled pieces, art, home decor, and so so so much more!

I am someone who will bend over backwards to make a dream come true, when I hear an ambitious person telling me ideas they have like 3 seconds to tell me they arent serious before I start planning.. because I believe dreams are just a choice.

HOWEVER, you can not help someone that doesn't help themselves, you can not make someone successful that doesn't want to be successful and you can not give another person ambition if they dont have it... You can open a door and the rest is up to them...

In February we opened our doors to a micro coffee business here in Fort Worth...

Fort Worth Coffee & Vintage Micro-Shop | Private Events Its only been 6 months and yall have done the absolute most with this space. Its been inspiring to see a team work as hard as you guys do and be as passionate as yall are. You guys have a beautiful business and should be so so proud of yourselves!

Ok hear me out... 😅

I think thrifting really pushes you to learn yourself.
As you thrift and look through racks and shelves that are not set up to tell you what you should like you have to rely on your instincts...

At first it might just be recognizing what you dont like but I promise a moment does come where a piece speaks to you and it clicks. "I LIKE THAT".... That feeling is amazing, that is you being authentic to yourself, build from that place.

This is with clothing and decor. Once you get in tune with yourself and what you like and dont like it SO EASY TO THRIFT!

You really start to find yourself 🤎 and the non stop product ads just dont seem interesting. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Over 2 years the store has been open. We are no where near covering every idea we have, which honestly just means there is ALOT of room to grow and thats exciting...

However, we are now both mothers. She just had twins, and I have two young kids...

We are truly navigating business between fits and naps, diapers, nursing, school lines and pure exhaustion!! Getting a phone call in is hard right now, this is a new territory for us and hard is a understatement!!!

But if I have learned anything from being a mother to a 5 year old boy is that Spiderman teaches really good life lessons.. You will find the solution along the way and you come out so so so much stronger and so much wiser. When you reach a breaking point, it just means you have to grow into a better version of you and learn new things (Just like spiderman) 😆 Thats where we are.

Mothers always find a way...

P.S. How beautiful is it that we actually grew this beyond what we are capable of doing alone sis... And we are in a place that will teach us how to grow further.

Ok, just going to take a second to recognize that this business has changed alot in the last few years and im just now catching up... finding my place.

For 6 years I was restoring furniture in my garage and wearing sweat pants and baggy shirts nearly every day, and when I wasnt doing that I was nursing my son in unflattering clothes and surviving the day. So I just sort let myself go while building the business...

My sister and I opened this new store and she was coming from a modeling background, so she really carried that portion of the business while I focused on other things.. it worked for a while....

But now I find myself running a store for secondhand clothing and home decor and thinking how do I actually fit into this otherside 🧐

Then I see my daughter and she LOVES seeing a someone dressed up. She doesn't look at there age, size, gender, skin, languages, not of that... She sees the effort someone put into caring about their outfit and that inspires her... And it sorta clicked.

Flipstone is for everyone, because we are all at different stages and we are always changing and honestly our wardrobes do to as we transform into new versions of ourselves and have let go of old versions. Thats why thrifting is so important...Our clothing is a representation of ourselves and WE CHANGE ALOT through life.

So the video isnt to sell you this skirt or shirt but I hope you find the confidence to go and just play dress up and start to remember what you like or dont like so you can show up as yourself... and hopefully you decide to thrift a little along the way.
