Every so often, I forget personal wins and accomplishments as life zooms by. In my darkest moments, these pages give a light. It reminds me of a dream long ago, a goal i didnt think I would achieve and what started as a childhood hobby that became a passion.

Whatever that is for you, hold on tight to it. When you are down, let this be the beacon you need in the dark. You are worthwhile. You are loved. You are far smarter and creative than you give yourself credit.

Today was a far better day than yesterday. I've adopted the continental knit and the Norwegian purl as my go-to methods. As of right now, I've just been making little swatches, just getting used to the feeling, just I did with crochet.
In learning how to knit, I've learned about myself, such as the high levels of stress I am usually under. I dont often notice it until I'm very frustrated to the point of simple tasks becoming unusually hard. In my own life, things have improved, and so has my knitting.

Ten days of learning to knit for ! Today didn't feel like the greatest, as I am having super tight tension and I can't seem to hold the yarn right, but I will get better. These are similar beginner frustrations when learning crochet, and I've learned how to talk to myself like a student and be kind to myself.

Back to basics! The knit stitch is easy enough, but i haven't got the purl down at all. Maybe I am missing something...

So... I was a little in over my head. I love crocheted fot so long, I thought knitting would be near second nature, but I forgot to treat knitting like the skill it is.
Forever, I've wanted to knit socks, but thats not how I learned crochet, jumping ahead too far. So I'm going to start an easier project, a hat, just like when I first learned crochet.

This is my life now. Snuggled with a sweet cat, crocheting while playing Dungeons and Dragons. This is me in a nutshell. The only thing missing was a cup of tea.
