Well, I did a thing!

For more than 20 years, I’ve hauled around my trusty trailer, “Elbree.” And let me tell you…that poor girl has seen some things. She has traveled countless miles and hauled more rusty, chippy, crusty, fabulous junk than any trailer should ever be asked to carry. I have definitely—and repeatedly—overloaded her. Apparently, there are “weight limits.” Who knew? Over the years, I’ve replaced an axle, and now she needs ANOTHER one. The running lights no longer work. She’s gotten new tires, new cables for the drop-down door, and even a new roof after a slight miscalculation involving the height of a parking garage. We don't need to talk about that. Elbree has been a faithful friend and partner in junkin’ crime for over two decades, but I think she has earned her retirement. So…I decided it was time to STEP UP MY JUNKIN’ GAME!

Meet the newest member of the family—my new Sprinter van, "Elbree Sprinter"! I’ve been wanting to take some longer buying trips, and the thought of dragging a trailer everywhere I go was becoming less and less appealing. So I took the leap and bought the Sprinter…and I LOVE IT! I’ve only had it a few days, so I haven’t had a chance to do much adventuring yet. And because my timing is ALWAYS impeccable, I bought a DIESEL van just in time for diesel to hit $5.99 a gallon. Of course I did.

But she’s ready. I’m ready. And there is a whole lot of rusty, chippy, weird, wonderful stuff out there just waiting for me to haul home! Stay tuned, though…Because coming next are:

Fall Ya’ll! Finally got it all in and done. And I brought in about 95% of it. One booth left to go.

Well, here is the struggle with having three booths in the same mall. My car was packed full of wonderful fall stuff, but I needed to rearrange the booth where I wanted to fit it all in. So, I had to move stuff out of the fall booth into the other two…which meant they needed rearranging. I ended up totally redoing the second booth. Took four of my six hours!!! In the last two hours, I did get to place all the bones and hang a few things in my fall booth. So guess what, I will be back in the morning to finish it up. And, now I have torn up the third booth, so we’ll need to work on it as well. Did not intend to redo all three!. Oh well…here are some pics of the booth I spent all my time on!

When you fly into Denver for a week, and your friends take you antiquing, this is what happens! Good thing they are coming to Texas in October and driving. Hopefully all this will fit in the back of their SUV!
