Walk in step with your Creator.
On purpose. ❤️

Sometimes we push so hard, run so fast and try to get to the finish line as fast as we can, we skip the journey or miss what was meant for us to experience along the way.

It’s ok to go a little bit slower, listen for answers in unknown places, and take notes.

Graduations parties.
Building a new house.
Starting a new relationship.

Don’t rush.

Yes, we get one life to live.

Yes the sands of time of falling in the hourglass.

Yes, I am the queen of do it all, do it fast, but do it WELL is also deeply ingrained in my core values.

This is why I have added breath healing practices to my wellness routine in my life. It felt woo-woo to me, too. It still does sometimes. I won’t lie, I still combine some planks, prayers, and maybe text check mid-ritual…especially if I do the extended version.

But when I show up fully, allow myself to do the practice, without judging myself, I walk away feeling refreshed, clear and ready to lead.

I know.

Potassium.
On purpose…does not sound interesting.

At all.

Yet, in our adulting we learn, good for us is not always interesting. Ab work, eating kale, journaling…it can all sound lame but science and evidence shows when we nurture our mind, body and spirit, we become more whole and healthy and make a greater impact. ✨

Potassium is a foundational mineral and electrolyte our body needs, especially as we age! 💪

At peak performance, potassium prevents muscle cramps, balances fluid in cells, reduces calcium loss from bones, and coordinates with sodium to help with blood pressure.

When you’re not eating enough bananas, avocado, salmon, yogurt, oranges (to name a few) or not adding a supplement, you might expect: fatigue, weakness, muscle cramps, constipation, heart palpitations or dizziness.

Whether it’s crossword, Wordle, or an actual jigsaw puzzle spread across your dining room table for everyone to enjoy, puzzles have been show to be a workout for the brain!

It’s so easy to veg in front of the tv at the end of the day to give your brain a rest, but giving your brain a workout in a unique and fun way, is kind of like going to the gym! It gives you a little extra boost to for future health.

I’ve been working on a new book for the past week, among the rest of my day….

The creative process, nurturing mind, body and spirit and constantly coming back to my Creator to make sure we are co-creating and I haven’t run off on a path of my own…

Breath healing.
Handstands.
Kettlebell swings.
Reading scripture.
Soaking and meditating.

These are just a few of my favorite things…before and in between when I actually start typing!

I can’t wait to share the whole book with you soon.

Breath Healing is one of my new favorite ways to regulate my nervous system and create from a place of peace.

Then, we open our laptops.

Or sit in traffic.

Someone forgot their homework paper or needs a special shirt for an event at 9am.

We’ve all been here.

It’s called…life.

Start with awareness.

Keep nurturing mind, body and spirit all day long. Create habits, tricks and tips to serve in every life circumstance that might arrive.

It’s easy to get into a run, even a good rut and do the same things over and over. We’ve all been there. The same four healthy meals, the same workout regimen because we look for or even feel fit, the same morning routine year after year.

Yet, our bodies and minds thrive on variety. With a change in routine it alerts our brains to create new pathways to process the new information, our bodies have to adjust to new movements or digest nutrients in a fresh way, or even our spirits can experience connection with our Creator on a deeper level when we mix it up.

It doesn’t have to be drastic…but just consider one way you can switch up something in your life as we get ready to transition into summer season to nurture your mind, body and spirit each in one new way.

Commit to it for a season.

If you hate it or it doesn’t serve you, you tried and a new season in the Fall will bring nee opportunities.

🌱 Water tastes best from glass!! Try it! Do a blind folded taste test and you’ll be amazed at the taste difference for your body and the spirit difference for loving the earth. 💦

🌱 Note to self and others: it’s not just hype all the hype about a regulated nervous system….in a world that feels vastly out of control, be the one to do the research and diligently regulate. 🙏

Shop the perimeter of the grocery store.

We are taught not to judge a book by its cover, wins by the label, or a person by their out appearance but you CAN pick your grocery list by the outer limits!

Walk quickly past the end caps and the bakery and head straight for the organic fruits and veggies, protein and dairy (if you partake!)

Next stop, frozen fruits, supplements and bulk for nuts and grains.

If you can make it through your whole list only cruising these aisles, you’re guaranteed: higher energy levels, an increase in vitamin and nutrient value and and a more satiated appetite with each meal!

Sleeping.
On purpose. 😴

This one is hard for me to even write about because I’ve never struggled with it! Of course I’ve gone through seasons here and there: new babies, big projects at work, or working out at night and having too much adrenaline but never have I ever just outright not been able to fall asleep.

I realize how much it’s affecting my energy level (I know, duh!) but it also affects my creative output, my level of productivity and sometime my ability to stay regulated.

I am evaluating what has changed, what I can control and making adjustments. ✔️

We always have a choice.

It never has to be “I’m just old” or “it is what it is” or “it’s just a season.” 🔥

If something if your life is causing you distress or a bump in the road, slow down, evaluate, take action. Ask for help!

Life is too short to just go through the motions…you have a purpose and you have to nurture your mind, body and sprit to bring it to life. ❤️

Sometimes life can like you’re on a merry go round. Spinning faster and faster where you can’t make a solid plan for lunch, much less for a large life decision.

Should I purchase this business?
Should I add a new product line?
Is this pain in my back worth seeing a doctor?
Is my child’s sadness “normal”?

It’s in the quiet places we can nurture our spirit, quieten our minds, and heal our bodies.

It’s really hard to do…but it can be done, even ten minutes at a time. Or five…you’ll be amazed at how silence can speak.

I’m cheering for you. 📣

🌱 Check your candles for the type of wax it’s made of. Soy, coconut, beeswax, or plant-based provide a cleaner burning experience than paraffin.
🌱 Add a splash of lemon to add vitamin C to your tea or water for energy, digestion support, skin health and brain function.
