Working on a rainbow design 🌈

Can’t wait to stitch it. I plan to do another stitch along but can you help me decide?

Would you rather a quicker aesthetic video or me talking through the different stitches?

There’s a strange moment in pregnancy when a name stops feeling like a word and starts feeling like a little person ✨

You start saying it differently in your head. Like someone who’s already here but just not in your arms yet.

Made for that in between feeling 🤍

No instant image generated. This was a design created for Livi’s bedroom. It started as a rough sketch on fabric, hours of stitching, testing colours, adding details and slowly watching the design come to life for my lovely customer.

Every embroidery pattern in my shop starts with a real idea, a real hoop and a lot of thread. 🧵

This ballerina pattern is available in both personalised and non-personalised versions.

Comment BALLERINA and I’ll send you the link 💕

It’s been asked in my comments and DMs:

“Why do you stitch on the underside of your embroidery hoop? I’ve never seen that before.”

Most people stitch with the outer hoop showing. I used to make a lot of embroidery hoop commissions, and one thing I noticed was that no matter how clean your hands are, simply holding the hoop can leave marks around the outer edge of the fabric.

I do use a hoop stand sometimes but 90% of the time I hold my hoop. Turning it around became my way of keeping the fabric looking exactly as it did when I first hooped it.

Now it’s just a habit!

I’m curious though does anyone else do this or do you think it might help you? 😊

Sharing is caring 💕 Here are my favourite tips and tricks for stitching French knots!

These little stitches show up in so many of my patterns and are perfect for flower centres and pretty filler details 🌸

The pattern I’m stitching here is my Cherry Blossom design 🌸

Have French knots ever given you trouble? Let me know in the comments if these tips help make them a little easier! 😊
