Lone Star Glass and Gutter We are a local, family owned-and-operated, window cleaning business! Business hours are Monday through Thursday 9am to 6pm, and Friday 9am to 3pm.

Cancellation Policy

At Lone Star Glass and Gutter, we understand that schedules can change, and we do our best to accommodate our clients’ needs. As a small business, last-minute cancellations or rescheduling can significantly impact our team and operations. To ensure fairness for both our employees and our clients, we have the following policy in place:

24 Business Hours’ Notice Required – If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we request at least 24 business hours’ notice before your scheduled time. Late Rescheduling or Cancellation – If a client reschedules or cancels less than 24 business hours before their appointment, or if the work could otherwise be performed as scheduled, a deposit will be required to hold a new date. The deposit is either $100.00 or 50% of the total service cost, whichever is greater. This deposit is non-refundable, however the deposit will be applied to the total service cost on the day of your appointment. Why This Policy? This policy is not meant as a penalty but rather a way to protect the time and effort of our dedicated team and ensure we can continue providing quality service to all of our clients. Last-minute changes make it difficult for us to fill appointment slots, impacting both our employees and other customers who may be waiting for an opening. We appreciate your understanding. Story time! It was 13 years ago that my husband and I said "I do" on October 5th. We planned an outdoor wedding, looking at the typical weather for early October, and by historical data it was likely to be a high of 80 and some of the clearest, calmest skies of the fall season. Actual weather on Oct. 5th, 2013? 58 degrees and raining. We didn't care though. I wore a short, vintage inspired dress and veil, had a cold, borrowed my new husband's coat, and was the happiest woman.

Life's details don't always go according to plan, but you learn to take it in stride. I'm forever thankful I get to do it with my best friend. A lot of the details of our story aren't quite what we expected. One of them being that we started a business together in year five. Fast forward another eight years, and I still love the journey together, and that we've been able to build something as a family. There's definitely been ups and downs, like any story, but I wouldn't change it.

Every October 5th since 2013 though has been warm, sunny, and a beautiful reminder of the blessings we've enjoyed. There's something refreshing about those unexpected, early October rains shifting into absolutely beautiful blue skies. And without fail, it makes me excited about what's to come. I look forward to many more stories with my love.

We built Lone Star Glass and Gutter so we could, primarily, work together, but also serve the community around us. We love being able to leave other families' homes feeling brighter. What better time than a clear, cooler fall day to get your windows cleaned?

Sunny skies are ahead folks!

After all the rain we’ve had the past couple days, I have a feeling a lot of y'all are about to get a rude awakening when the sunshine hits your windows this week!

The good news is that all that dirt and water spotting doesn’t have to stay there, because our team can bring those windows back to life and have them looking crystal clear again.

Rainy weeks like this mean we haven’t been able to clean many windows, so what better excuse is there to grab some coffee and support another local small business? ☕️🍂

This morning we're at Wild Honey Mercantile Boutique & Coffee Co. in Aledo, where we're enjoying some fall flavors while getting a little homeschool work done, and honestly, I can’t think of a better way to spend a rainy day. ❤️

Maybe the weather's a bit boring to discuss, but I'm sure everyone is looking at that forecast for midweek and beyond with bated breath. Heavy rain? Highs in the 70s? Glorious. And almost unbelievable. I can't be the only one thinking of the Anne of Green Gables quote, "I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers. It would be terrible if we just skipped from September to November, wouldn't it?"

The beginning to this October certainly looks lovely. It'll feel like a fresh start and truly a new season. We're all counting on each other to wash our cars, leave laundry out on the line, and schedule a window cleaning. ;)

I absolutely freaking love it when we get a review that recognizes not just the finished project, but the people behind the work!

I’m especially grateful when y'all mention Ben and the rest of our crew, because showing up on time, paying attention to the little details, and taking pride in their work is exactly what I want our team to be known for.

26 has always been a favorite number of mine. No logical reasoning, I've just always liked it. But eight years ago, a total life change gave some pretty decent reasons for it to be a favorite number. There's a whole wealth of gratitude tied to the 26th of September. It's the anniversary of our family's small business, Lone Star Glass and Gutter, and we've made it eight years this Saturday!

Looking back, there are so many reasons to be thankful and people to be grateful for. For family who flew James and me out to Oregon to give a crash course in running a window cleaning business. For a nationwide window cleaning community who has given pointers and even had our back when we encountered difficulties. For a local community of fellow small business owners who have been willing to give of their time and form real connections over great coffee. For hundreds of clients who chose to support us and even cheered us on and shared our name. And absolutely for a solid, dedicated team who has worked so hard and grown with us.

Eight years ago we took a leap of faith, praying hard for wisdom and provision. Almost a decade in, and we're still amazed at God's goodness and all the people placed in our path that have led us to where we are now.
