Well..here is to viewing an amazing event. I hope the sky doesn't disappoint. Here in the Bahamas....it should be a new experience for me. Set your alarm and look to the heavens.😇

Thanks to a perfectly timed moon cycle, this year's Perseid meteor shower could be the best one New Jerseyans have seen in years.🌟🌑☄️

When the shower peaks on Aug. 12, the moon will be in its new moon phase, leaving skies completely dark and making shooting stars and bright fireballs easier to spot.✨The following night, on Aug. 13, the moon will be in its waxing crescent phase, with only 1% illumination.

In areas with dark, cloudless skies, as many as 50 to 100 meteors per hour could be seen during the Perseid meteor shower during its peak, experts say.

Back to the beach for lunch and the breeze. Southwest winds have the leeward side of the island looking slightly choppy with rolling, incoming tide waves. This is also a part of the Galloway beach, but north of where i flew my kite. I am hoping something interesting lands ashore with all of this wave action.👍

Galloway Landing at high tide. The wind blowing thru the pines makes the best sound here, along with the waves against the shoreline. It could put me to sleep. Very relaxing.
