Every Shine Rugs piece is made to order. Hides are selected, cut, matched and stitched by hand with that little zigzag seam, and it takes about 5 to 6 weeks.

Fall called. It wants terracotta, cognac and a little bit of cream.

Warm earth tones are everywhere in 2026, and honestly? Cowhide was doing it first. Brown, tri-color and brindle hides bring that cozy, collected feeling without a single throw pillow change (ok, maybe one).

This one's a brown and cream Stripes patchwork, but every rug we make is custom, so it's your palette, your size.

Materials You Didn't Know, Ep. 04: Glazed Lava Stone.

Volcanic stone is quarried (the classic one comes from the Volvic craters in Auvergne, France), cut into slabs, coated in enamel and fired in a kiln.

No two slabs are ever the same.

It's been around since the 19th century. Some old Paris street and Metro signs are enameled lava, which means you may have walked right past it.

And it's tough: heat, stains, scratches... it shrugs them off. May we even call it... indestructible? Almost 🙂
