This old youngsters rocking chair was worn, dirty, and ready for retirement when it arrived at The Empty Nester. With a little vision and a lot of care, it was given a whole new life.

After a thorough cleaning, careful prep work, and attention to every spindle and curve, the chair was transformed with a beautiful farmhouse red finish that highlights its classic character. What was once a tired, forgotten piece is now a charming statement chair ready to be enjoyed for years to come.

I love taking old, worn furniture and bringing it back to life for a new generation to enjoy. ❤️

Melange One Moonstone Bay for the win!!
I've hemmed and hawd over what color to paint our dining room, chairs and base of the table for months. I finally decided on Moonstone Bay. I love it!!!
The table top will be Retiqued in Light Wood Base and Pecan or Barn wood stain.
Which do you prefer? Pecan is the lighter, Barnwood is the darker.

This room will be my showroom and classroom. It's still a work in progress. I have a lot to do, but my goal is to have it ready by mid June. Stay tuned for Open Studio dates, workshops and more!
Behind the closed door is my work space and the open door is my storage room.
