🌱 Exciting things are happening at 525 Kitchen!

We are offically urban farmers!! I am so excited to share that 525 Kitchen has been awarded $33,779 through the USDA Specialty Crop Block Grant Program, administered by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture!

This three-year project will allow us to explore year-round microgreens production and develop a practical growing model for beginning farmers and small-scale producers. It's another opportunity for us to support local agriculture, encourage entrepreneurship, and find new ways to strengthen our local food system.

We're grateful to the Kentucky Department of Agriculture and USDA for their support and excited to be one of eight projects selected across the state.

And while we're so excited about this award, there's quite a bit more happening behind the scenes at 525 Kitchen! We have some big plans for the next couple of years, and we're looking forward to sharing more as things come together.

Lots of good things ahead for 525 Kitchen and our local food community! 🌱

The new 525 Kitchen Launch Track is designed for start-up food entrepreneurs who need an affordable place to learn, practice, and prepare before moving into full kitchen membership.

For $100 per month, participants receive 90-day launch guidance and support with menu development, recipe costing and pricing, compliance, production planning, packaging, and identifying a realistic path to market. You’ll also work with Cindy & Julie to refine your menu, plan an efficient kitchen workflow, test realistic batch sizes, and learn from hands-on practice runs.

You don’t have to arrive with everything figured out. You simply need a focused idea and a willingness to take the next steps.

🌿 Saturday Market is Back This Weekend! 🌿
Join us for our 3rd Saturday Market at 525 Kitchen this Saturday from 8:00 AM–12:00 PM! Shop a rotating selection of fresh baked goods, grab-and-go meals, sweet treats, locally crafted foods, and more from our talented kitchen entrepreneurs. Every week is a little different, so come hungry and see what's cooking! We for sure have local coffee from Tin Can Roasters, marinara and caramel sauce from Holy Ravioli, and possibly some treats from Thyme to Gather and Community Que! And I totally forgot about Caleb’s newest promo item…a b**r cheese flight! Try 3 of his fabulous b**r cheese flavors and give him ideas for seasonal new ones!!
