Feb. 24 2022 Russia, under the leadership of Vladimir Putin attacked the country of Ukraine. Millions of citizens fled their homeland and took refuge in several Eastern European countries, millions more stayed to fight the invasion.
As Americans we are a world away from this fight, yet the desire to help the people of Ukraine is strong for many, including me. The proceeds from the sale of these limited edition bottles will go to organizations who help support the refugees and the people who have taken them in.
The glass bottle symbolizes how very fragile freedom is as well as the Molotov cocktails Ukrainians made to defend their homeland.
The sunflower is the national flower of Ukraine and represents the countries that have taken in the refugees.
The blue of the background and yellow of the sunflowers symbolizes the flag of Ukraine.
The wood board as display represents the balance needed in the world and the burned words are Russian Coptic for NO WAR, which is both a plea for the invasion to stop and a tribute to the Russian citizens who have protested the war in a country where protest is a crime.
There is a limit of 25 bottles being made. As each is handmade there will be slight variations in each but the symbolic elements will remain the same. Please allowe 4 to 6 weeks from time of order to delivery. Each bottle will include a hand written authentication. They are $25 Each however $10 will be added for shipping. If you are local to the Franklin VA area I will hand deliver no charge.
