I design a lot of things. Hand drawings and CAD drawings. Most of these never go anywhere, but the ones I do end up making are an exercise in iteration. Every build has multiple designs and sometimes even multiple renders. These are just a few of the projects I've made for people that have gone through this long design process.

I have been very fortunate to use lumber I have milled over the years for so many of my projects. I got a random start with it thanks to a college friend and, to date, I’ve turned something like 10 logs into probably 2000 board feet of usable material. What’s left in the first image is after 2 years of using almost entirely my own material (short of the exotic stuff). My material is far from perfect and I have a fair bit of waste, but it’s made it possible for me to build beautiful furniture for less than might otherwise be possible. And it’s given me a greater understanding of wood in general.

Storage of all this wouldn’t be possible without my dad and his storage space. I didn’t mean to take over half of it but here we are!

New cross cut sled for my students. It’s exclusively for 45 degree miters and has clamps to keep their little fingers safe. First run was today and it worked beautifully.

One of my most challenging projects to date for the client that has pushed my skills with every project she requests. Turned out great but it was a journey.

6 feet tall, 19 inches wide and 12 deep. Includes a drawer and two 22” (approx) cabinets with shelves.

Painted black (the stain sadly failed and caused quite the stress) with the subtlest little hex pattern on the drawer front.

My first cribbage board ever, made for a childhood friend’s mom. Sapele and birdseye maple with walnut dividers and a random border. Super happy with how it turned out. The brass pins store in those holes on the side so the whole thing remains self contained. 186 holes punched and then drilled.

My most recent project. 8x6 keepsake box. Only about 2.5” tall but I think the proportions work great! 3 divided spaces, one large for bracelets and the others for smaller items. Zebrawood, birdseye maple, and Purple Heart wood. Really a great little box.

This one’s made to order, but let me know if you’re interested.
