A well-used Bible tells a story.

Worn leather. Marked-up pages. Verses underlined. Notes in the margins from the things God has taught you along the way.

We don't make our Bibles to sit untouched on a shelf. We make them to be carried to work, opened at the kitchen table, and used through every season of life.

Don't worry about keeping it perfect. Put it to use.

Some people are easy to shop for.

Some people make you stare at your Christmas list for three weeks.
Either way, start with what you know about them.

Do they love having people around the table? Are they always carrying a journal? Is there permanently a cup of coffee in their hand? Is their Bible never far away?

We put together our Gift Giving Guide to make finding something meaningful a little easier.

Start with the person. We’ll help with the gift.

Your Bible probably has a usual spot.

Maybe it stays on the kitchen table, gets tossed in your work bag, rides in the truck, or sits beside your bed.

Wherever life happens, we hope the Bibles we make become part of it. Not something you save for the right moment, but something you reach for in the middle of an ordinary day.

So, where does yours go with you?

Some conversations need more than a quick check-in.

They need time. Bibles open. Coffee in hand. And people you trust enough to be honest with.

The kind of people who listen, pray with you, challenge you, and point you back to what’s true.

“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”— Proverbs 27:17

Make time for those people. Those conversations matter.

A Bible has a way of collecting pieces of our lives.

The verses we come back to. The prayers written in the margins. The dates we don’t want to forget. The worn edges from being carried from one season into the next.

That’s why we make our Bibles to last. Not so they stay looking new, but so they can be carried, opened, marked up, and lived with for years.

And when you give one as a gift, that’s what you’re really giving — something they can carry with them for a long time.

Made to last. Made to be carried. Made to matter.

Maybe the best gifts aren't the ones they grow out of.

The handwriting might change a lot over the years, but hopefully the habit of slowing down, putting pen to paper, and making room for what matters sticks around.

A place for thoughts, prayers, drawings, questions, and all the little things worth remembering along the way.

Made to be filled up. Made to be theirs.

These are almost ready to go.

Each Bible in this stack is waiting for its final personalization before it’s packed up and sent to its new home.

A name added. One last detail. Then it’s yours to open, mark up, carry around, and make your own.

See yours in the stack?

There’s always something else that needs to get done.

Another project. Another task. Another thing asking for your attention.

But taking a few minutes to stop and spend time in the Word isn’t taking away from your day. It’s making time for the most important part of it.

Pour a cup of coffee. Open your Bible. Sit with the Word for a little while.

This is worth making time for.

There’s always more work to do.

Another Bible to bind. Another piece of leather to cut. Another project waiting on the bench.

But sometimes the best thing you can do is step away for a few minutes.

We love seeing our Bibles used in moments like this—not sitting untouched on a shelf, but opened in the middle of an ordinary workday. A few quiet minutes to read, think, and remember what matters before getting back to it.

That’s part of why we make them the way we do. Our handbound Bibles are made to be carried, opened, marked up, and lived with. They’re made for the everyday places you find yourself—including the workshop.

The work will still be there when you’re done.

What you don’t see when you place an order.

The shelves, the leather, the boxes, the people, and all the little steps in between.

There’s a lot that happens behind the scenes before a Narrow Gate Bible makes its way to you. We’re grateful to do this work every day—and even more grateful knowing these Bibles are headed out to be opened, marked up, carried around, and used well.

That’s always the hope.
