Love the character and texture of authentic antique wood? Whiskey Springs showcases the sawn texture and natural colors of the original antique board surface, while being precision milled for a beautiful, consistent installation.
The visible face is skip-planed across approximately 20% of the surface, preserving the unique character of the original boards.
✨ A variety of finishing options — from no sanding, to burnishing with an abrasive pad, to light drum sanding with 100-grit sandpaper.
🌿 Because the surface is not fully milled, some uneven seams and over-wood may occur. These can be spot-sanded as needed to soften sharp edges.
We’re also happy to work directly with your installer or finisher to discuss the best procedures for this unique flooring style.
As always, we recommend the least glossy finish possible to preserve the natural beauty and character of the wood.
