I describe my design style as Comfortable Modern—a balance of fresh, inviting spaces and clean lines, and intentional details. It’s modern without feeling cold, welcoming without feeling overly casual, and grounded in the beauty of authentic materials.

I love letting the materials speak for themselves—the warmth of natural wood, the texture of stone, the character of handmade tile— thoughtful details, clean lines, and layered textures bring everything together.

When working with homeowners, I always send large paint samples and recommend taping them up in different locations throughout the room or home. This gives you the chance to see how the light shifts throughout the day—and how those changes impact the way the color actually looks in your space.

For decades, my dad and I shared a love for Mid-Century Modern and Scandinavian design, spending Friday afternoons hunting for the perfect pieces.

As my career in design continued to take shape, we dreamed of a shared storefront—my interior design studio in the front, his restoration workshop in the back. Scantique Home was born from “Scan” for Scandinavian design and “tique” for the curated, boutique spirit behind our love of timeless well-crafted pieces and the collaboration we have with local artisans. Home speaks to our focus on creating thoughtful, collected interiors that feel personal, welcoming, and lived-in.

While the vision has evolved, the name continues to reflect its roots: a shared passion for intentional design, timeless style, and creating spaces that feel personal, inviting, and lived-in.
