The path from the garden to the barn is lined with soon-to-be blooming hawthorns. Borders of Ogon spiraea, straight sempervirens and elegantissima box, and seslaria autumnalis extend out 30 feet or so on both sides opposite the barn. It’s a relaxed but pleasing symmetry to come upon, as it helps to screen the farm equipment and the parking lot.
