The Tustin Manor was built in 1894 in the heart of a busy lake port on Lake Poygan outside of Fremont, Wisconsin. Over the years, the home fell into deep disrepair but over the last year and a half, I (and a large team of skilled contractors!), have been working to bring the Tustin Manor back to its former glory. There is still an enormous amount of work to do yet, but to tell the complete story o

f the Tustin Manor, I wanted to show the hard work and deep passion that has gone into restoring this home. It's been so long since this home has been filled with family, laughter and enjoyment. I am looking forward to sharing this historic jewel with all of you.

I put some of the back porch ceiling scraps up in the back of the master closet, but that left gaps between the pieces. I added some thin, oak trim straps to cover the gaps and even out the trim.

Finally upgraded my backdoor padlock system that came with the house to an actual door lock. The entire door needs to be redone so I was waiting on that project. But.....as an adult this seemed like the right thing to do.

The first ceiling fan that was installed had a junk motor so I found another with the same sized guts. However, the outside was a bit smaller leaving a gap around the fan. A little drywall mud with a knockdownfinish and you'd never know.
