My clients, a young, active family, purchased a fixer-upper with much appeal. After removing walls and opening up the living space we were able to create a floor plan better suited for a family on the go. The bespoke, white oak, herringbone floor was installed throughout the main living area. Custom-made cabinetry was necessary to optimize the square footage of the kitchen. We removed a wall and an unnecessary coat closet to make space for a pantry armoire. This also gave us enough space for a coffee bar that doubles as a cocktail bar for parties. The earthy, black soapstone countertops were the perfect juxtaposition for the modern, pale blue, beveled glass backsplash. A few delays caused the oven hood installation to be delayed, but once in, looked perfect. We also removed a wall between the living room and breakfast nook. This allowed the two rooms to have fluidity from breakfast, to homework, to crafts & board games, to ball games on the TV in the living room.
