A New Chapter on Niles Boulevard
On February 15, 2015, I became the owner of American Trading Post. I didn’t just take on a store — I took on a responsibility to be part of something bigger than myself. Over the past 11 years, I have worked to make American Trading Post more than a place to shop. I wanted it to be part of the heartbeat of Niles Boulevard and our community.
Through festivals, everyday conversations, longtime customers, and new faces walking through the door, the shop became woven into the life of Niles. There were challenges, long days, and uncertain moments — but there was also pride. Real pride. Keeping the doors open all these years is something I will always be grateful for.
Now, it is time for a new generation to step forward.
Transitions are never simple. They carry memories, effort, and emotion. But they also carry hope. I am incredibly proud of Guissella as she steps into her new role as owner and operator of Old & New · Curated Finds, located at 37581 Niles Blvd. I have seen her dedication, her vision, and her commitment, and I know she will lead the shop with care and heart.
On Saturday, February 28th at 11:00 AM, we will hold a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony to mark this new beginning. Please join us for the ribbon-cutting and meet the new owners. Come celebrate this transition, reconnect with friends, and welcome the next chapter of this special space on Niles Boulevard.
To everyone who supported American Trading Post over the last 11 years — thank you. Your loyalty, kindness, and friendship have meant more than you will ever know.
The name may change, but the spirit of community remains
