A few glimpses of the goodness that was last week’s Frenchtown Riverfest Open Studio.
Thanks so much to everyone who stopped in to say hello, sat down to paint, and added to our wave wall. We loved spending the afternoon getting to know you all!
What’s next? A little fall and winter break, as we prepare for some new and exciting changes at home. And after? An expanded schedule of music and artmaking programs in the new year!
In the meantime, thank you again and again. To our Frenchtown neighbors, we are so grateful to be part of such an open and supportive community. And to those who joined us throughout the season from further away, we very much hope to see you again soon.
PS: We’ll still be posting regularly, so definitely keep an eye out for more on what’s ahead here too.

Happy Sunday! It’s Frenchtown Riverfest day, and we’re excited to be opening our doors one last time for the summer season to join in the festivities.
If you’re in the area, stop by between 12 and 3pm, say hi, and experiment with watercolors, transparency, and layering using a Georgia O’Keeffe—and Delaware River!—inspired palette.
Everything’s free, and everyone’s welcome.

A week ago tonight, we were fortunate to spend some time with a small group of new friends during our Graphite Galaxies Open Studio program.
Each of us kept the full moon in mind as we experimented, in our own ways, with the night’s materials and tools. And all of us got to know one another as we sat around the studio tables talking Frenchtown, family, favorite meals, and more.
To those of you who joined us, thank you so much again for a wonderful evening. We loved sharing the experience with you.
And to all who weren’t able to make it, know that last week was just the first of what will be many more nighttime artmaking sessions to come.✨

Tonight:
Celebrate the August full moon with a lovely and low-key night of artmaking.
Artist Vija Celmins’ night sky-inspired drawings will serve as inspiration as we experiment with graphite, charcoal, and using erasers as essential mark-making tools.
Open Studio sessions are, true to their name, open! Bring a beverage, find a spot at the table, and explore. All materials and tools will be provided.

What a night!
The music was enchanting, and local love and hot summer vibes filled every corner of our space.
Thanks so much to the wonderful folks of Pyrenesia for two amazing and truly transporting sets.
And one more BIG thanks to everyone who joined us—for their first, second, or third time!
So looking forward to seeing you all again soon.✨

Tonight!
Pyrenesia brings their gypsy jazz sound and some new songs to the Engine! Join us if you can.
Reminders: Little Engine is, true to its name, little! So, be prepared for a cozy and communal experience. Doors will open at 7:15.
Parking is available on the street or in the Frenchtown muni lots.
All Little Engine shows are BYOB. Water bottles can be filled and re-filled on site.

Yesterday was such a joy.✨
We loved the feel and flow of the afternoon, spending time at the worktables with friends old and new, and seeing the different ways everyone approached the materials and tools available.
To all that stopped by, thanks so much for making Little Engine part of your Bastille Day tour! We’re so grateful to be part of such a supportive and open community.
Next up? Pyrenesia brings their gypsy jazz sounds to the studio on Saturday, July 27th. Join us if you can!

Happy Saturday! It’s Bastille Day in Frenchtown, and we’re joining the festivities with drop-in art making!
If you’re in the area, stop by anytime between 12 and 4pm, say hi, and experiment with color, shape, and composition using some Matisse-inspired materials.
