I first started by testing little products to see how they will come out, not even realizing that I’ll find myself dreaming each night of my soap projects or getting up in the middle of the night to start a project that couldn’t wait till the morning. Thankfully to my loving husband, Bishoi, who encouraged me to keep trying and completely supported me, I decided to start selling my bars. It surpri

sed me a lot to find out the difference between store bought soap and my bars. I used to be a fan of a famous soap bar, known of its moisturizing effects. I found out that
store bought soap contains detergents which strips the skin of its natural oils. Many of the synthetic ingredients in these soaps are actually detergents that can lead to skin rashes and eczema. They are added so that the soap can be creamy, has better stability, and produces lather. Handmade soap on the other hand contains glycerin, natural butters, oils, essential oils and fragrances that helps you acquire the heavenly scent and moisture you’d want for your skin. As a mom of two, and my oldest is a teenager dealing with acne, I found handmade soap with natural ingredients to be the key solution for her acne with an option to have her favorite scents and creative designs.
