🎉🎉Well y’all, that’s a wrap! SOLD OUT within 2 days! I am shocked and grateful to everyone who came!! I did not expect this turnout at all! I have appreciated each and every customer who has walked through my door, I am truly thankful!
Having said that, I would like to take a moment to express a few things as a small businesss owner.
Every like, comment and share on a businesses post helps tremendously. It exposes new people to the business and it keeps their posts in your feed instead of getting buried and it cost nothing to do this. You have no idea how much this helps!
Businesses want to be a part of the community and love to give back when they are able. I’m sure you would be shocked to know the amount of donation requests that come in to small businesses. And it’s great to be able to help out, but it is very disheartening to know that a lot of people making those requests have never and will never shop at your store. I would just ask that you take this into consideration should you ever need to request a donation for any reason.
Your local shops keep your community going and help it thrive. They draw people in from other cities, they keep your town from drying up, they support schools and clubs, etc. Please shop local— you won’t see SHEIN, Amazon or any other online giant give back to your community or donate to your schools and organizations.
Don’t let it take a 50% off going out of business sale to prompt you to patronize a business for the first time. However grateful they may be to make the sale- it’s just hurtful. And yes even after the 50% discount, some still asked for more. 😞
I say all this not to sound resentful because I truly am grateful for my customers, but to bring awareness to people in defense of my fellow small business owners. Truth is we are all struggling right now. We need you and sometimes just need people to see things from another lense.
Thanks again to all of my customers and followers!! I wish you a very Merry Christmas and God bless!!! ❤️❤️❤️
