Painter Greenhouses We specialize in a variety of areas including: live plants, artificial flowers, floral supplies, ribbon, wedding supplies and Christmas decorations.

Drayton and Doris Painter began a business of growing and selling vegetables in the early 1960s beside their home on Nursery Road in Gaffney, SC. Drayton hand built greenhouses and grew his own plants so he could sell early produce before other business' crops produced. Other farmers were interested in this method and persuaded Drayton to grow early vegetable plants for them as well. As time went

on, he and Doris added flowers to their greenhouse stock. In 1985, they later added a Christmas and gift shop to their business. Now Drayton and Doris are semi retired and enjoy riding up to the greenhouse on their gator to assist son and daughters Mike Painter, Joy Jones, and Cindy Painter Poole with the business over 65 years later.
