Hello Lovelies!
Did you have a good weekend? Did you have safe travels? Did you eat good? Drink plenty of water? Did you pray?
Just a little "behind the scenes" look at things that happen for florists sometimes. I ordered these 5 packs of light blue delphinium (amongst many other flowers) for a wedding this weekend. Everything came in looking great except for these.
They are shedding everywhere, which tells me this product is old. It literally came off my wholesaler's truck 30 minutes ago. There is no "magic fix" for shedding flowers.
This is where we, as florists, have to step in and hold someone accountable for what they gave to us. "It's bad, I've sent pictures. I need these replaced ASAP."
Sometimes it's the wholesaler trying to move old product, sometimes it's the farm sending old product. Either way, it's not good enough for my customers, but it was sent to me anyway.
I want your wedding to have the BEST that I can possibly get. If I can't get the best looking product, I typically have a backup plan for something as close as possible, and in this case, I've already executed it....just that quick...30 minutes from the truck leaving the shop.
We have to be ready to make quick, last minute decisions for you. I usually have a plan, but God has his plans too. So we move with intention to make the best of the situation.
You, Lovelies, probably won't see me post too many pictures of bad product, but I want you to know it happens to every florist. We ALWAYS keep you in mind when we are working for your special day, for your family, for your friends and for your bereaved. Keep us in your prayers because If my God fights for me, I'm going fight for you.😘
