I've been obsessing over all the fairy things and whimsy lately!
Check out this enchanted fairy tree house I made for the upcoming community fairy trail, organized by Friends of Glen Echo π
Making it took me straight back to my childhood β hours spent studying the tiny miniatures tucked into the little wooden cubby frames that hung on Grandma Mary Jane's kitchen wall. I was enthralled by just how many sets of small version things there could be. And oh how adorable they all were!
Those teeny tiny candle sticks are what got me with this one! And those cute little fairies reading their books tho! One things for sure, I'm ready to take a small hammock nap after doing all that fine detail work.Β
My daughter took just as much delight as my inner child β spending hours playing with the pinecone fairies. She was especially smitten with the tiny baby one.
All this little-world magic has me wondering β is anyone interested in buying handmade fairy houses, furniture, or little accessories? Because I really need an excuse to make more of these. It was so much fun!
Most importantly β you can get an up-close view of my fairy treehouse along with many other fairy house designs in person!
Join me and other artists for the fairy house ravine walk next Thursday, October 1st from 6 β 8 PM.
Fairy houses will remain on display within Glen Echo Park from October 1st through the 15th.
