Saturdays May-October find us at the Flint and Brighton Farmers Markets! We are a family owned business who takes pride in our garden nursery.

Cardinal Nursery opened their doors in 2008 as a specialty daylily grower and seller. In 2010 we expanded our nursery growing hanging baskets, deck pots, and hardy mums. Stell d’ Oro sale, $5 a bundle! Stella d’ Oro’s can potentially bloom from early May into September and October, making them popular in perennial gardens.

This season we had the opportunity to work with our local high school and provide Stell De Oro daylilies for their new landscape designs. They look beautiful Byron High School, we can’t wait to see them in full bloom next season!

Our peonies are finally blooming and smell amazing! Still patiently waiting for our new yellow peony to bloom but the ones that have are beautiful. 😍

This has been a very tough decision but we have decided to take a break from the greenhouse for the 2022 season. We will not be selling hanging baskets or deck pots but be will be selling our daylilies once they are in bloom. Thank you for all of your support and we look forward to doing it again 2023!

Our Story

I am a wife, a mom of 2 awesome kids, and everything floral makes me happy! During the summer most days you will find me covered in dirt, gardening, designing, or running around with my kids.

In 2008 my husband Matthew & I decided to become specialty growers in daylilies and from there I fell in love with flowers! In 2010 we bought our greenhouse house and started selling annual hanging baskets & deck pots along with our daylilies.

You can purchase our flowers at our nursery and you can find us at the Flint Farmer’s Market on Saturday’s and the Howell Farmers market on Sunday’s during May & June.
