Yesterday, I competed my first commission and made my first sale of the year. Back in December my friend asked me to build him a new mailbox with a design I have used in the past. Using recycled materials like old fence panels I had collected. I re-milled the wood into a like new state, and the finished product speaks for itself. At Bent Branch Craftworks I take pride in using found and recycled materials and turning it into a hand crafted rustic works of art. I just would like to say thank you to Jason Hill for hiring me. Im humbled. This project was a pleasure to complete.

Simple things bring me joy. Crafting art that compliments your home perfectly is one of those joys. About a month ago, I decided to push the envelope on one of my designs. I built a 4 ft long seven votive holder. When I built it, I pictured it on a huge wooden dining table. A few days ago my neighbor Andrea Faith Wentworth reached out about wanting a center piece to decorate for the holidays. It turns out, I had just the thing. The end result is perfect pairing of elegant rustic beauty.
I can custom make these for your holiday decor needs. Custom length, custom color . I also have several already built. I want to provide you with that unique one of a kind center piece to make your holiday meals pop. Please let me know if you are interested.

As I sit through another day ay my 9 to 5 job, just know, that I dream. What do I dream about you ask? I dream of creating the perfect combination of wood grain and creative expression that you simply can't resist displaying in your home. We had an awsome time at Graves Mountain in Georgia this past weekend. For those of you who dont know, Graves Mountain is mine which opened to the public a couple of times a year, for collecting a very unique suite of minerals. It is attended by a wonderful community of mineral and gem enthusiasts both novice and expert. As first time vendors we were welcomed with warm smiles and southern hospitality by the regular vendors and attendees. Thank you all who organized this event, we look forward to seeing you in the spring.

Generally, I dont like mixing elements( metal and wood, wood and electrical) when Im building something. It goes against the whole rustic vibe. However, after combining 185 year old rough sawn cypress, with a modernmetal sign and a cheap light kit plus a touch of "trial and error" , im thinking "not bad", perhaps I should be more open minded.
