One of my favorite parts of making a custom Storykeeper mini book order is watching someone’s reading life come together one teeny book at a time.

The process starts with your list of books, then each title gets created, assembled, checked, stacked, and finally packaged up for its trip to its new bookshelf. 🤎

And yes, these have the actual covers of the books you chose—because the tiny details are what make a custom set so much fun.

Same quilt pattern, completely different stories! 📚 This is exactly why I love making custom book quilts.

One version is bright, colorful, and full of personality. The other is warm, quiet, and feels like it belongs in a cozy old library. And another is soft and romantic with delicate florals.

Same books, same quilt design, but an entirely different feeling for each! ✨ When you order a custom book quilt, you don't need to know anything about fabric or quilting. Just tell me about the reader, show me their reading nook, give me their favorite colors (and the ones they absolutely don't want!).

Week 4 of the Boo to You Mystery Quilt Along with Fat Quarter Shop is DONE — and all those little pieces from the last few weeks finally make sense. 🎃👻

This week was all about bringing everything together. We joined our previous blocks, added the black framing, and finished it off with that scrappy Halloween border. And I LOVE how it turned out.

The gingham ghost might still be my favorite. 👻🖤

There’s something so satisfying about a mystery QAL when you finally get to stand back and see how every block was meant to work together.

Now she’s officially a finished quilt top and ready for the longarm! 🙌
The only question is… how should I quilt her? 👀🎃

Another block is joining my Forgotten Rooms Quilt Along — and this one may be one of the most fun yet. 🐈‍⬛✨

Meet Pawsitively Wicked, designed by Ollie Sara Designs as part of the Forgotten Rooms QAL with A Journey Sew Real

A witchy cat. A patchwork cape. That crooked little hat. 😍 There are SO many tiny details packed into this block, which also means plenty of cutting, piecing, pressing, and very careful seam matching along the way.

I’m continuing with my moody Apothecary fabrics, and I love watching each new block feel like it belongs in the same slightly mysterious, slightly magical house.

First we built Vale Mansion… now one of its residents has arrived. 🖤

This quilt is coming together one room—and apparently one mischievous cat—at a time.

This is what a Blind Date with a Book restock actually looks like behind the scenes. 👀📚

It starts with boxes (and boxes) of books arriving at my door. Then every single one gets a little matchmaking treatment:
📖 Goodreads rating
✨ Just-enough-to-intrigue-you hints
✍️ Handwritten details
🎁 Wrapped so the title stays a mystery
📚 Sorted and stacked for their future readers
And repeat… 50+ times. 😂

The final stack though?! 😍 There is something ridiculously satisfying about seeing all those mystery reads lined up and ready to go.

I’m stocking up BIG because fall market season is coming, and Blind Date with a Book is officially getting its fall refresh. 🍁

Romance, fantasy, thriller/mystery, fiction and plenty of surprises are waiting underneath that wrapping.

Proof that approximately 47 million half-square triangles might actually be worth it. 😂✂️

Okayyyyy… NOW I understand why I made all those freaking half-square triangles. 😂🙌
My first-ever quilt using Tula Pink fabric has officially made it to finished quilt top status, and LOOK AT HER. 💕🩵💜
And that movement?! 😍

I love how the triangles create these big diagonal sweeps across the quilt while all those Tula prints keep giving you something new to notice. It’s bright, a little wild, and definitely different from my usual palette—which made it even more fun to make.

But we aren't finished yet…
What in the world should I put on the back?! 👀
Do we go FULL Tula with something bold and unexpected? Or give all this color a little breathing room with something quieter?
