Big thanks again to all of our supporters who came to Day 2 of our Summer Studio Sale! We enjoyed some great company and thanks for all who took a piece home that represents that feeling. We had great connection from visitors who shared their experiences. We can take appointments over the phone for people who could not make it. Best to schedule your appointment before 8/6. Studio Sale is on day 2. Come on over! The weather was very pleasant yesterday. It will be a tad hotter today, so come early. Still lots to see! Call with any questions: 916-744-1062. Sunday July 19th from 9:30am-1:30 pm. While many of the Summer Tanagers and Sandhill Crane pieces have flown away, there are still some to be had.

The Studio Sale is on! I took these pics early on , but got too busy to post them. Big thanks to all of our supporters who came out to see the show! We so appreciate you. I am posting the pics form this morning. Pieces have been reduced, but still lots to see. I will take pics and post in the AM tomorrow for what is available. Come out, enjoy our rural area. We can reccommend lunch spots.

Sonya's Mystery Birds are here! They flew out of the kiln today,with some favorite Sandhill crane pieces. The Summer Tanager was the Mystery Bird. The spoons rests show, male, female, and juvenile males. The Tanager scupture is being glazed as I type this. Bob has many new carved vessels and pots with his amazing line art designs to show, as well.

These new spoon rests have a new feature: a hole to hang them as art on the wall.

Hello all! Here is the Postcard invitation to our Summer Studio Event. Mailing list customers were invited to guess the mystery bird in Sonya's poem on Sunday. Now, All facebook people can guess, too. If you think you know the mystery bird, private message us. The first person to guess correctly, gets one of the finished birds.

Hello Schumacher Ceramics Followers & new friends! It has been a while since we posted. We have had to take some time off to deal with family responsibilities, but we are back! Sorry to have missed having the Christmas Sale. MARK YOUR CALENDAR!!! The annual Summer Studio Sale is on!! Come on over to our Galt studio on Sat & Sun, July 18-19, 2026 from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Bob will have some newly glazed large vessels with his incised line artwork. Sonya has completed her M.A. from Boston Univestity and will exhibit the sculptures made while working on her thesis that addresses, "The Beholder's Share".

There will be pottery favorites, by both Bob & Sonya on display and available for sale. MAILING LIST CUSTOMERS: you should have recieved your postcard by now for the event. If you can solve who is the Mystery Bird in Sonya's poem, first one to private message us here with the correct answer, gets a free slab dish of the Mystery Bird ( AKA spoon rest). Looking forward to seeing you , reconnecting, and sharing some art & pottery.
Next weekend (6/27/26) We will create an event, and post an image of the postcard. All FB people can participate in guessing the mystery bird after that.
