I've made quite a bit of progress on this piece. The painting, staining and topcoat are complete. Now I just have to reassemble the door, inserting the trim and wavy glass and also the shelves. This will soon be headed to the shop!

Started work on the Art Nouveau china cabinet this past week. After a thorough cleaning, I had a few repairs to complete before painting began.

The dust panel, underneath the drawer had come loose and part of the gingerbread trim on the glass was damaged and poorly repaired. This required carefully removing the glass retainer moulding from the door without damaging the wonderful, wavy glass in the process. Once it was clear of the old glue, I glued and clamped the piece so that it can later be reinstalled.

While I've been posting regularly on Completely Galveston page, I've been a bit remiss in posting on my own.🤦‍♀️

Today I brought in an amazing, illuminated Artworks - Philip Reinisch curio cabinet. This is the perfect piece to display my smaller pieces, getting to eye level with better lighting as well.

Once I had the cabinet in place, I staged a number of my items in it and rearranged the rest of my space to highlight the new display and give better visibility to a few other items in my area.

It's amazing what a difference a few changes can make! Stop in soon to see these items and many more at Luna Rose Vintage Vida, located inside of Alley Antiques Mall & Restoration. Located at 4010 Broadway Galveston, Texas across the street from the Cemetery.
