Just a little update from my workshop! ❤️

I am officially CLOSED for custom furniture requests for the remainder of 2026.

If you have a piece you’ve been thinking about having refinished, I am starting a 2027 request list now. Just send me a message and I’ll get your name added. I plan to start taking custom projects again in the spring of 2027.

I can’t thank everyone enough who has trusted me with their furniture this year. I’ve had some beautiful pieces come through my shop, and I truly appreciate every single custom request! 🥰

In the meantime, I’ll still be busy creating one-of-a-kind furniture pieces that will be available for purchase on my Momma Likes Furniture page and Marketplace.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this year it means something very different to me. 🩷

I’ve gone back and forth about whether to share this publicly. Until now, we’ve kept it among our family and close friends. But if sharing my story encourages even one woman to schedule the mammogram she’s been putting off, then I think it’s worth sharing.

A recent routine mammogram found something in my right breast.

I had no lump.
I couldn’t feel anything.
I had no idea it was there.

After additional imaging and a biopsy, I was diagnosed with Stage IA invasive ductal carcinoma. Thankfully, it was caught early. My cancer is ER/PR positive and HER2 negative, and I have a very good team helping me through the next steps.

I’m not sharing this because I want anyone to worry about me. I’m sharing it because my mammogram found something that I could not.

So during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this is my little nudge to the women I love:

🩷 Schedule your mammogram.
🩷 Don’t put it off because you feel fine.
🩷 Don’t assume that because you can’t feel a lump, everything is okay.

Early detection matters. I’m incredibly thankful mine was found when it was.

I’ll take things one step at a time from here. But if my experience gets even one person to make that appointment, sharing this was worth it. 🩷

This very loved rocking chair was brought to our shops to have the back and lower brace spindles repaired. Now solid and sturdy again and all cleaned up and a good rub and shine my clients grandpa will be comfortable and safe again rocking away in his favorite chair again. Shout out to Mr fix it at for his repair skills.

A repeat client brought me two of her dining chairs that were in need of cross back repairs. She wanted to restore to pretty close originals in color so she selected Melange Blackbriar from some swatch samples. I think it was a great pick. After getting fresh coats of paint and topcoat these are now finished. I will be getting the rest of the set two at a time so you may see more later on. Thank you Heather for trusting me with another project for your home.

We partnered with Christine at Salt of the Earth Furniture to create a fall collection that would fill meaningful spaces in the Mélange palette while remaining deeply rooted in her home state of Massachusetts.

Each color draws from something important to Christine and reflects the history, culture, and landscape of New England.

Christine is a farmer, woodworker, furniture restorationist, scientist, and brilliant mind, all wrapped up into one exceptionally authentic person. She is, in every sense, salt of the earth.

It was our great pleasure to collaborate with her and bring these beautiful colors to life, available September 1st.
