🌸 Some flowers come with a little history. 💚

I recently had the pleasure of creating this arrangement for Chef Nicki at Mia Bistro Thai & Asian Restaurant, intended for a close friend who absolutely loves roses. And you know I couldn't resist making it a little different!

Beautiful pink roses, vibrant blue delphinium, creamy white lisianthus, playful pops of color, and lots of lovely garden-inspired texture.

But the flowers are only half the story.

That gorgeous emerald green vase is a vintage ribbed glass planter made by the National Potteries Company (Napco) of Cleveland, Ohio, in the 1950s.

More than 70 years later, it's found a beautiful new purpose. 💚

That's one of my favorite things about creating arrangements in vintage vessels. The flowers bring joy today, but the vase becomes a keepsake with a story all its own.

Lexie’s Bridal Shower & Bridal Bouquet 🌸🤍

From bright, happy shower flowers to a soft white bridal bouquet—it’s been such a pleasure creating flowers for Lexie!

For her bridal shower at Rosewater Kitchen & Bar in Raleigh, Lexie envisioned a colorful garden-inspired mix of pink, orange and yellow. The evening before, I headed to A Bucket of Blossoms in Clayton and hand-cut locally grown zinnias straight from the flower field. I even found one gorgeous dahlia! The cosmos, however, were nowhere to be found—sometimes flowers have plans of their own. 🌸

I paired those freshly cut blooms with garden roses, spray roses, gerbera daisies, veronica, chamomile and other delicate accents to create 30 unique bud vase arrangements. No two were exactly alike, but together they were cheerful, romantic and just a little bit wild.

For her bridal bouquet, we took a softer direction: white ranunculus, roses, lisianthus, tulips and hypericum berries, finished with chocolate-brown ribbon. Layers of delicate petals, a little height and movement, and a warm finishing touch. 🤍

Two different looks for two beautiful milestones. Thank you, Lexie, for trusting me with both! 🥂💕

💐 Two friends. Two dresses. Two completely different bouquets! 💕

One of my favorite things about designing Homecoming flowers is getting creative with color!

For these two friends, I created two very different garden-style bouquets — one featuring vibrant blue delphinium, soft pink roses and creamy whites, and the other bursting with pinks, buttery yellows and gorgeous dahlias.

Each bouquet was designed to complement her dress while letting her individual style shine through. 🌸

Because Homecoming flowers don't have to be traditional, predictable or match your dress exactly. Sometimes the prettiest combinations are the unexpected ones!

A little Homecoming magic! 💕✨

I absolutely LOVE getting to see my flowers all dressed up!

For this Homecoming couple, we went with a soft, romantic garden-style bouquet featuring pink roses, white ranunculus, lisianthus, delicate Veronica and eucalyptus — with a coordinating boutonniere for her date.

The soft pinks, creamy whites and silvery greens were such a beautiful complement to her gorgeous sage-green dress and his navy suit. 💚

And can we talk about how lovely they look together?! 🥰

This is why I love creating custom Homecoming flowers. Rather than simply matching a dress color, I get to play with flowers, textures and complementary shades to create something that feels special and personal.
