SWAK Metals LLC Custom metal fabrication shop Saweikis Metalworks is a new custom fabrication and welding shop. It is owned and operated by Andrew Saweikis.

Saweikis Metalworks has over 10 years experience in welding fabrication, structural steel, industrial machinery, and custom art and furniture. Our employees have worked on basic steel repairs and fabrication projects ranging from one off designs to quantity orders in the hundreds. Some noteworthy projects our employees have worked on are a metal sculpture stand to hold work for the world famous artist Frank Stella, to building 150 ton steel structures. Employees are proficient in stick (AWS 1.1 Certified Welder), mig, and tig welding, as well as oxy-acetylene welding and cutting. Saweikis Metalworks is determined with their experience, imagination, and education to bring a new style to the metal art/fabrication industry.

Texture is on and welding has started

part 2 design and layout making it onto the sheet. The idea here is a graffiti art version of the logo. Hoping to create depth by turning the weld art into block letters, creating some drips and accenting/filling in some of the space with weld themed graffiti. This includes the cylinder, the machine, and the weldor! Also paying homage to my original piece that stated” making art that holds the world together,” I more subtlety put the world under the weld art to imply “weld art holds the world together.” Overall a concept that was fun to put together,but tricky with some of the rules. Check in tomorrow to see what textures I used and how I got them!

This is the foundation to the design I have in my head for the I should have it wrapped up shortly as the deadline is approaching… got to figure out lighting to get a decent shot of the project.

Rush job due to scheduling, but got it done. Even with some changes that got thrown in. Can’t wait to see it installed.

Still waiting to hear back…
Looks like this one will likely be a practice piece and I’ll have to simplify the next one. I will use a similar concept on the next one, but change a few little details to emphasize the “wow” factor.

First ever attempt at some stainless tig art for the I know the concept and how to weld 🤣 But there are some issues that I discovered when making tig art. I can work on fixing it on the next one… whenever that happens! part 2 starts the welding part of this adventure. 👨‍🏭

I made a ton of these for a wedding a few years back and the most important people, 👰 🤵‍♂️ never got to take any home😩 some family also wanted a full set so I cut these out, got them cleaned up, 👨‍🏭, and painted! Everyone that needed one now has them or a full set🎉

Beam install on the new addition. Next up ordering wood and making a template to ensure details are done correctly! Huge shout out to my concrete guy, CT foundations corp, coming in clutch with the crane!
