Hello everybody.
Todays post is quite simple. It is what I feel Christ appeared to look like after he went through the pain, suffering, crucifixion, and rose from the dead. His wounds in his hands and side had to remain so that Thomas would believe but his appearance was totally refreshed.
These images are what I imagine that I will see when I cross over. When I made the prayer sign that hung in my church I decided to put the image of the Lord on it because he taught all of us that prayer.
I hope you all like the pictures as much as I do and I hope they bring you the peace that they bring to me.
Have a great day and beyond!!!

Greetings!
Today I'm posting message pieces.
The first one is a piece that I made quite a while ago. John Wayne is credited with coming up with it but there is no documented proof that he ever said it. To me, it just seems like something the Duke would say, so I will always think he did.
The second is a quote that I saw posted on a "food for thought" board in the local general store, Gate City General in Gary ,SD.. It is, in my opinion, a very truthful statement. A gentleman named Bob Bitchin gets the credit for this one.
My off- the- wall way of looking at things thinks he should have changed his first name to "Quitcher" and signed it.
I hope my sense of humor doesn't offend and I hope it makes some smile.
Have a very good day!

Good Friday morning. Today is the day that has been determined to be the day that Christ was crucified and, by his death, paid for our sins. He paid this debt even though he had no part of it.
I really don't know what drew me to and caused me to make these pieces but I always feel reflective when I see them or pictures of them.
I hope, when you look at these pictures, you also reflect on Christ's sacrifice and in your heart say "Thank you."

This post is to complete the military emblems that I had started before but didn't have the last three pieces finished. I started again with the flag/eagle piece because I believe it should be first.
The first emblem is for the most recent branch of the military- The Space Force. It was created in 2019 and is part of the Air Force. The United States Air National Guard also falls under the umbrella of the Air Force.
The Coast Guard is a part of the Navy during war time but falls under the Department of Homeland Security during peace time.
The United States National Guard falls under the umbrella of the Army.
At this time we Americans are defended and protected by an all volunteer military. It has been my experience that people that are doing something by choice, and not being made to do it, they will tend to be more willing to give the task their best effort.
We are very fortunate.

Armed Forces of the United States of America !!!
This is the year celebrating the 250th anniversary of becoming the United States. Before becoming the United States we were the thirteen colonies. Our founding fathers decided that they had had enough of the British monarchy and were going to be independent.
The Continental Congress knew that they were going to need a military presence to defend themselves against the British that wouldn’t like what was happening. So they created the first three branches of the military, the Army, the Navy, and the Marines. These were created in 1775, before there even was a United States.
The Air Force came into being in 1947 after World War II. The National Guard has been around since the beginning only they were called Minute Men or Citizen Soldiers. There are three other branches of the military and they are the Space Force, created in 2019, the Air National Guard, which is part of the Air Force, and the Coast Guard, which during war time is part of the Navy but in peace time it is part of Homeland Security .
I have not yet made pieces for the last three but when I do I’ll post them also. I’m not sure what spurred me to make these but it does seem to be the right time to do it.
I hope you all like the pictures. If you know a service man or woman, past or present, let them know that you appreciate their service.

Hello everyone.
Today's post is to show off things that I made just because I wanted to make something.
I wanted to make the squirrel because Squirrel is my camp name at rendezvous. This piece is hammered into the tree and the squirrel sits on the steel branch and looks good.
The African scene is like one that I had previously made except that I included a pride of lions. It didn't change it much but, like a lot of things, a little change is good.
The garden fairies and the butterfly I did just because I thought they were cute. The Bob Marley is the second one that I made with different quote of his.
The last picture is of name plates for our niece's children. Ayla, even at her very young age, can read and write her name in cursive so a cursive name plate goes to her. Taten, who likes and wants to be a cowboy, gets the cowboy motif. Claire, the baby of the family, gets the one that I thought befitted a little girl.
These are some of the things that I make when I have time to play. Most of these things have been or will be gifts unless someone buys them first.
I hope you all enjoy looking and/or commenting on what I do when I'm just feeling creative. Thanks for looking!

Hello again.
These are a few more signs that I have made to advertise for and promote the vision that the owner/operator had.
To create anything is very rewarding. But to help someone develop their creation feels even better.
In patronizing small businesses we help the owner/operators create their vision. In doing this you are helping someone that you probably know, not a corporation that you will never know.
With that I will stop expressing my opinion and wish everyone a continued great 2026!
Hope you enjoy looking and/or commenting on the post.

Happy New Year everyone!!
This post is about signage made to show what the business is about.
The first picture is one that I made for my business. I made it when I transitioned from a farm equipment repair business to something with a more artistic focus. I still do small repair projects, but nothing to the extent of prior years.
The second picture is of a sign that I was commissioned to make for a family owned business. I believe everyone in the family has a part in the operation.
Entrepreneurship is a leap of faith for all of these small businesses. It requires a desire to be in charge of your own path, the support of family, and a willingness to work hard to succeed.
As I am a small business, I support those others that I can. These businesses came to me with these ideas and requests. This is what I made for them.
Thank you for the opportunity and trust. I don't come up with the ideas, I just take ideas from others and make them out of metal.
Thanks for looking and/or commenting on the pictures.
Have a great 2026!

Hello everyone and Merry Christmas!!!
Todays post shows muscle cars , when speed and power were combined with good looks to create things of beauty.
The first and last pictures are gifts that I was asked to make for a couple of different people. The first picture is of a Pontiac GTO. An artist friend of my son's and my wife and myself designed this piece and I think it turned out beautifully. Adam did a very good job designing the picture of Dad's favorite car.
The next four pictures are of cars that caught my fancy and, because I couldn't afford the cars themselves, I cut the pieces that I could afford.
The last picture is of a gift that is going to be a Christmas gift this year for this lady's husband. His favorite car was the Oldsmobile 442 and, with a little playing around on the computer, I was able to create this. I sure hope he likes it! From what I understand, the sign will hang outside the shop/garage from a mount that I made for it.
I have always found it very rewarding to make gifts, either for me to give or for others to give. In past years, it has always felt a little more like Christmas when I have been able to make gifts or repair some decorations for Christmas.
I heard a person once say that he hated handmade gifts because they appeared handmade. I think handmade gifts give a piece of the person, who is giving it, with the gift because they took the time to create a one-of-a-kind gift just for them.
I would like to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas!!! and hope you can enjoy all of the season!
I hope you all enjoy the pictures and my commentary. Thanks for liking and/or commenting on them.

Hi everyone.
We are entering into the season of Thanksgiving and I try to post this piece at this time every year. The title of this piece is "Giving Thanks" and it portrays a family from around the late 1800's.
When I look at this picture I see a happy family giving thanks to God for everything in their lives. I see a fire burning in the hearth to prepare the food and warm the house. Good food, a warm home, warm clothing, and the love of the family are truly things to be thankful for.
I know that I am thankful for all the good things and even the things that I don’t think are so great. We need both of those things so we have a comparison. In this picture I see a family focused on being together as most important. All the rest is temporary.
In one of my posts like this I made a similar statement as I am about to make. When you sit down to your Thanksgiving feast, look to the person to your right and to your left and tell them "Thank you." If you don't recognize them you might consider the possibility that you are at the wrong house.
I hope that made some of you smile. Thanks for looking, liking and/or commenting on it.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone !!!

Hello everyone.
This post is a picture of the most recent memorial piece that I made . I received a message one day from a gentleman, who had just recently lost his wife, and he asked if I could/would make this for her gravesite. I humbly said that I would.
He and his daughter came out to my house and we sat down and discussed what they wanted to see with this. The hummingbird was first and foremost, as it was her favorite, followed by the eagle for him. I showed them the picture of the dove with the cross and they both said that they wanted it.
They told me how they found out who made the pieces bringing some added decoration to some of the headstones out at the Gary Cemetery. The only mark identifying me on the pieces is my touchmark. They asked around and found me when they talked to the manager at the Gary Bar. She had my contact info and shared it with them.
He saw what I designed and asked if I could paint the hummingbird with a red throat and white breast and flower either white or red? I am not a painter but sometimes I have to remember that the Creator of all things can use me as a tool and it will be okay.
Last little bit of personal insight. All of the birds in this piece are with wings spread and in flight. Death isn't the end, it's just the release.
I hope you all enjoy the pictures. Thanks for liking/commenting on this.
Have a great week!!
