Hello! We're Columbia Seed Co., a small home garden on the North Oregon Coast. We sell wares collected from our garden, including seeds, tubers, and more.

All have been grown using natural and organic methods.

How groovy is this lil gal?! ✌️ All my zinnia seedlings are up and I’m excited to grow this mix (Dreamin’) from again. I grew 3 plants last summer and 2 of them weren’t my fave but I loved this one! The petals are a super saturated psychedelic hot pink to red to yellow with adorable little florets around the center. 🩷❤️💛

💐🌸SPRING IS HERE🌸💐
We’ve had the most beautiful weekend spent preparing the garden. Irrigation has been inspected, the spring seedlings have been planted out, all the beds have been amended, dahlia tubers have been planted out, and we’re READY! This is our 4th growing season and also the first one where I’ve felt like we have a good grasp on everything and not already behind. 🥰 Here’s to a peaceful and productive spring season. 🌼

Exciting things are coming to Columbia Seed Co! We’re starting to sort through our tubers and listing them for sale, expanding the dahlia patch, creating a roadside flower stand, and more. Stay tuned. 🌸

My first round of seedlings have been started and growing strong! Here on my north Oregon coast the weather is mild enough in February to be able to plant frost-tolerant plants. Last year I waited to plant everything until after the last frost which really didn’t make sense! I should take advantage of our mild climate and extend my growing season as much as possible. 🌱

Garden cleanup, reporting for duty! 🫡 After a long spring/summer being cooped up in the run, the chickens have been unleashed for the winter. They will eat w**d seeds and seedlings, unwanted bugs & their eggs, and also turn over and fertilize the soil. And they have a blast doing it! 🐓🎉

Happy first day of spring! 💐 It’s very rainy here today but I’m looking forward to some sunny days later this week. ☀️😍 I’d love to hear, what varieties of Zinnia are you planting this year? I only have one variety going in and I chose Queen Lime Red. They are going to look gorgeous in bouquets!
