Are you starting to think... oh man... school is out in 2 days and I will have the kids under foot all summer!? Well, if you are, let me help you with a fun activity that you will want to get them signed up! It is the perfect way to kick off your summer vacation!!!

We will spend the week learning about how God helps up make waves in our lives so that we can live for Him. With the help of some amazing volunteers and youth, we are planning for a pretty awesome week! There will be lessons, games, crafts, snacks, worship music, and yes, there will be glo sticks! 😉
Make sure to get the kids signed up by Sunday so we make sure they have an awesome t-shirt to start the week!

We will be around all day, so pop over and say hi, fill your belly, and help us spread JOY!
PLUS, yesterday was Jordans birthday so we are carrying the celebration over to today and hoping to raise tons in his honor for our sweet kiddos just like Ceci! 💚

God says, follow me… trust in me… I will hold your hand and guide the way!
This morning in my devotional it talked about exercise… not just the physical kind but also the mental and emotional kind… but the most important kind of exercise is the spiritual kind.
When life is uncertain, you have to rely on your “trust” muscles to guide you through. If you don’t take time daily to stretch your spiritual muscles then they will be tight and weak when you need them the most. Lean into individual time with God each and every day. It can be first thing in the morning in the quiet of your home with a fresh cup of coffee or it can be while you are driving to work. It can be over lunch in the break room or on a park bench in the mid afternoon. Maybe you choose to spend individual time with God while you cook dinner for your family, or when everyone is off to sleep at night. Whatever you do… spend the time with Him. He wants to help you strengthen your “trust” muscles so you are ready for whatever life throws at you!
Psalm 13: 5-6 says, “But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing the Lord’s praise, for he has been good to me.”
Throughout my years I’ve had ups and downs and I stand on the firm ground that God has helped me through every one of my trials. On the days when I wanted to give up and throw in the towel on the difficulties I was facing, God was always and continues to be right by my side. He stands steps in front of me with His hand out, always encouraging me to keep placing one foot in front of the other. He is my strength to be the best me for my family and friends. He is my rock and anchor in the storms and my Hallelujah when I am celebrating!!! God is always telling me… Abby, you got this!!!
I encourage you to make time for God… because He ALWAYS has time for YOU!!! ❤️

Ash Wednesday is a day of reflection and accountability. Don't take me wrong, we should do that every single day, but we as Christians use this day to really dive deep and examine our lives. It is no coincidence that when I opened my daily devotion this morning it was talking about the symbolism of today.

The message hit me very strongly as I have been contemplating what I was going to choose for my sacrifice this Lenten Season. I try really hard not to be a complainer, but there are days that I just cannot keep it in. After being reminded that even on the Cross, Jesus did not complain, but He was giving forgiveness to the ones who had tortured him, I am so convicted to choose "not complaining, only thankfulness" as my Lenten sacrifice. Jesus loves us all so much and wants us to be happy and successful. His plan is bigger than ours and we need to trust and lean into Him for support. When we want to be angry and complain, it is better to pray and listen to Him for guidance on the situation. Be thankful that He is always with you and will guide you the tough times. He will never leave you or forsake you! Be thankful that you are not walking through life alone!

Given the current "pause" with the business, it would be very easy for me to be crabby and do lots of complaining right now, but I have to remind myself that in the end this will be a small speed bump in the big scheme of things. These changes and updates will be a huge blessing for the business and my family. 💙 God is in control of this! He saw it coming and had a plan in place even before I did. I am so thankful for that!!!

My prayer for you today and throughout this season is that you can find the joy in everything! Continue to seek happiness and spread it throughout your days. Seek to see others as God sees them. Remind yourself that God's unwavering and unconditional love for you is something that you can in turn pass on to others. Give of yourself for Him and watch His blessings flow over you.
