Next week I will be heading to Indiana for the Elkhart County Quilt & Fiber Experience Expo that will be open June 4-5.
I will be doing a demo on my Flower Block that is in my Honey Trails pattern.
I made a hanging block of the Hive that is in my pattern that uses the fabrics for the hive in a kit that will be available at the show for the full pattern. It is available to purchase ahead if you would like. The fabrics are all Riley Blake Designs using Lori Holt collections. See the photo for the price, fabrics, and size of Honey Trails kit.

Exciting News!! I am happy to announce you can find several of my patterns with finished quilts hanging with them at a quilt shop near me!
Please check out these quilts at Keeping You Sewing in Clinton, IA.

These will be on display through Saturday May 9, 2026, just a short 3 weeks. The staff should have the quilts hanging soon in their classroom and patterns ready for sale.

We have plans to hopefully coordinate with the local Fulton quilt guild to have a guest presentation by myself at the shop in an afternoon and in the evening during the guild's meeting. We also have plans to do a trunk show in the Fall of my patterns that are soon to be introduced in Summer 2026 fabric catalogs.

I am self-training on Adobe Illustrator. The process has been a bit frustrating, but I think I have finally discovered a way to do it that works with my brain.
Attempts made today used the following: Shapes, Select, Color, Copy, Paste, Rotate, Object, Intertwine, Group, and Align.
These tools allowed me to recreate my first attempt into what you see now.
Next training will be to create a pattern and add it as a background to this design.
I am working on creating extra designs to add to my branding. These are using my three base colors that I love as they are bold but still feel soft. I love the boldness and simplicity of the shapes that I am using for my branding.
Eventually all this training will be used to grow my skills in pattern design and work myself towards my next designing goal!
