Today we celebrate 95 incredible years of the best woman we know and wish the happiest 95th birthday to our Sis. ❤️
There are no words big enough to describe what she means to us. She is the rock of our family, and the love she has poured into each of us has shaped all five generations.
If you’ve ever met Sis, you know she’s one of a kind. She’s feisty, stubborn, hilarious, and will tell you exactly what she thinks. Georgetown Antiques and our family have always been what made her life whole and brought her the most joy. She’s worked harder than anyone we know and has still always shown up for us. Even when we didn’t deserve it, she loved us anyway and showed us what unconditional love really looks like.
Celebrating this birthday is so bittersweet. With her recent diagnosis and decline in health, we don’t know how much time we have left with her, and there’s really no way to prepare for losing someone who has been your home your whole life. Walking through this chapter has been one of the hardest things we’ve ever done. We’re not sure how we’re supposed to imagine life without her, but we do know this. She has given us enough love, wisdom, laughter, and memories to last a lifetime. We’ll continue to hold her hand, be her strength when she needs ours, and love her every step of the way, just like she’s always done for us.
Not everyone gets a Sis. Not everyone gets to grow up with a woman who loved so deeply, fought so hard for her family, and left pieces of herself in every one of us. We are so incredibly blessed to have spent 95 years loving her and being loved by her.
Because of Sis and her beloved Sonny, who we already miss so much, we are blessed to have five generations together. The family they built is their greatest legacy. They showed us what love, commitment, and family truly mean. They built something that stands through the good, the bad, and everything in between. Their kind of love doesn’t end. It lives on in all of us.
Happy Birthday, Sis. Thank you for every hug, every hard truth, every prayer, every laugh, and every sacrifice you made for us. We love you more than you’ll ever know, and we are so grateful to celebrate your 95th birthday with you today. ❤️
