One thing I’ve always believed is that running a small business should be about more than just making a sale. It’s about building relationships, making connections, and genuinely caring about the people who choose to support you.
Our customers and clients become so much more than just familiar faces. You become friends. You become family. You become people we genuinely care about.
Do we have to take the extra time to scrub and clean your planters before filling them with something beautiful? No. Do we have to pay attention to every little detail, go out of our way to make something perfect, or spend extra time making sure you’re completely happy? Not necessarily.
But we do it because we care.
Because when you trust us with your home, your business, your plants, or even just a small purchase, that means something to us.
We remember your favorite plants. We remember the stories you share with us. We celebrate your exciting moments, ask about your families, and genuinely look forward to seeing you again.
And sometimes, going the extra mile means doing the things nobody will ever notice. Cleaning up a little extra, taking a few more minutes to get something just right, or doing something simply because we know it’ll make someone’s day easier.
I never want The Succulent Hippie to be a place where people feel like they’re just another transaction. I want you to feel welcomed, appreciated, remembered, and cared for.
As a small business owner, I know that every dollar you choose to spend with us is a dollar you could have spent somewhere else. You chose us, and I don’t ever want to take that for granted.
So yes, we’ll clean the pots. We’ll take the extra time. We’ll go above and beyond, even when nobody asks us to.
Not because we have to.
But because that’s the kind of business I always dreamed of building. One where people come first, relationships matter, and the little things are never really little.
