+ it is ABOUT time! 💃🏼🍂

the first day of fall is LITERALLY. THIS. MONTH. 😱 nobody panic!

but like i am sooooo ready for this heat to get OUTTA here and to be in FULL fall mode with cozy sweaters, apple cider, + allllll of the pumpkin things! 😁🍁

i'm a sucker for burnt orange and dark green and brown and OH, just all of them really 😌 fall truly has my whole heart xx

let's spill the beans 🫢

because i hear people constantly saying things like "they don't last long" or "they don't compare to candles" etc. etc.

but the truth is: wax melts can be your absolute favorite home fragrance product if you give them a chance 😌

but, of course, it all boils down to three things:

1. the type of wax + fragrance/essential oil being used
2. where you're using them in your house
3. how often you're using them

🕯️ WAX + FRAGRANCE TYPES
can significantly impact the performance of your wax melts. for example, a subtle scent like vanilla may not be as strong as, say, a more robust scent like coffee. i also favor a para-soy wax blend, which not only provides a strong hot throw (aka how strong the scent is when being melted) but still has the natural benefits of soy.

🏠 LOCATION
is also very important when determining where your wax melts are bound to make the best impression. for example, placing them in a large room or one that doesn't get much footfall to circulate the fragrance is bound to make them appear as though they "aren't working" when the real issue is just their location.

⏳ TIME
is money when it comes to getting the most out of your wax melts. after all: it's not the wax that dissipates into the air like with candles, but the fragrance itself. the longer you melt them, the quicker that fragrance will disappear, leaving you with an unscented melt before you know it, so the general rule of thumb is to melt them no more than 3-4 hours at a time.

knowing these (3) simple truths when it comes to wax melts, even if you're a "wax melt hater" can ultimately convert you into being a wax melt LOVER in no time! 🤍

how do YOU like to homebody? 😌

can homebody be used as a verb? 🤷🏼‍♀️ who knows! but seeing as my favorite homebody-esque season is RAPIDLY approaching (😁), i'm curious!

do you prefer watching cozy shows, using home fragrance, reading, gaming, baking, listening to music, crafting, or something else entirely? 👀

my personal favorite is a combination of cozy shows and gaming. i'm turning my animal crossing island into a fall haven with different "quadrants" dedicated to harry potter, gilmore girls, winnie the pooh, etc. 😌🍂 so of course i like to watch the corresponding show/movie when i'm working on that particular area 😋
