Sew Hip is a sewing studio and fabric boutique. What began as a love of sewing instilled in us by our mom has grown into a lifestyle of creativity and artistry. We plan to offer an edited collection of unique, modern and designer fabrics for garment sewing, home décor, fabric crafts, and more. Sew Hip will cater to a new age of sewist, with access to the latest in fabric trends and designs, while
maintaining classic techniques and time-tested methods. In addition to retail, we’ll offer sewing and crafting classes, workshops and private lessons for all ages and skill levels. The studio and staff will be available for parties, camps, and Girls’ night out. We are thrilled to work with those who share in our mission to expand our creative sewing and craft community, offering a place for people to start a life-long journey expressing their creativity and personal style. Brittany and Kristin were born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Brittany moved to Texas where she graduated with a Bachelors degree from Texas State University before moving to Austin where she lived until 2013. Kristin graduated from the University of San Diego, followed by a graduate education at the University of New Mexico. Kristin moved to Gig Harbor with her family in 2020. Brittany soon followed in 2021. Both Brittany and Kristin have extensive retail and customer service experience. Kristin served two years as Treasurer of the non-profit organization Tucson moms, and at store opening, will be a Martha Pullen licensed sewing instructor.
