Some things in life simply don’t come with an answer right away.

You can pray about it.

Think about it.

Seek wisdom.

Make the best decision you know how to make.

And still not know exactly what happens next.

That uncertainty can be uncomfortable—especially when we want to see the whole path before taking another step.

But faith doesn’t always mean knowing where the path leads.

Sometimes it means trusting God when we can only see the part right in front of us.

Friday night plans sounded great on Monday. 😂

But now it’s Friday.

The week happened.

The comfortable clothes are calling.

And suddenly staying home sounds significantly better.

Tonight’s agenda:

Hot bath or shower. 🛁
Favorite robe.
Something warm to drink.
Candle lit.
Phone face-down.
Door closed.

Plans officially cancelled.

Sometimes making home feel good isn’t about changing the whole room.

It’s about creating little places where you can slow down, get comfortable and actually enjoy being there.

The recipe said 30 minutes, which was adorable. 😂

Thirty minutes according to whom?

Because somehow we’ve:

Used three bowls.

Misplaced the measuring spoon.

Washed something we immediately needed again.

Opened the refrigerator six times.

And answered “How much longer?” at least twice.

Meanwhile, someone has been stationed beside the island supervising the entire operation. 🐾😂

But maybe that’s part of what makes the kitchen feel like home.

It isn’t always picture-perfect.

It’s busy.

A little messy.

Full of the bowls, towels, utensils and everyday things we reach for again and again.

And somehow, it’s often where everyone eventually ends up.

The recipe may say 30 minutes.

The kitchen has other plans. 🤎

Fall has entered its “three different temperatures before lunch” phase. 😂

Cool when you leave the house.

Warm by afternoon.

Cool again the second the sun starts going down.

Which is exactly why we love a good layer.

Start with the basics.

Add a cardigan, jacket or vest.

Wear it.

Take it off.

Put it back on twelve minutes later. 😂

And somehow the outfit keeps working through all of it.
