Remember that time I sold my business and bought it back? Kinda chic
I started Kozy Knit Designs in 2017, selling handmade blankets and other knitted pieces on Etsy and at local markets. In 2019, I began teaching knitting classes and quickly realized that what I loved most wasn’t just creating and selling—it was bringing people together. Over the years, I hosted markets, taught classes, made so many friends, and sold a whole lot of knits along the way.
Eventually, I hit burnout and made the difficult decision to sell the business. But in 2024, I had the opportunity to buy it back and knew I wanted to bring it back in a way that felt different.
That’s where The Knit Bar came from. Today, I teach beginner-friendly blanket knitting classes with a bigger purpose than simply making a blanket. It’s about learning a new hobby, slowing down, getting creative, and creating genuine connection with the people around you.
