Hello Friends! It is National Motivation & Inspiration Day...

I would imagine it is because everyone is setting all of their New Year Resolutions. I don't really get into the whole resolution thing...I have a hard enough time reigning in all of the things I would like to accomplish without creating more for myself! I do think that it is important to have goals and to ACT on them. What good does it do anyone to make resolutions or create goals that only look good on paper? Take the first step! Don't doubt the outcome before you ever begin. Your next journey could be the best one you have ever taken.

It’s Not Easy Being Green

Being green is tough. Just ask Kermit the Frog! He often faces challenges with his color. First, his clothes never match. While others stand out, he blends in too much and gets confused for a bush at parties. And when someone sings, "It ain't easy bein' green," he just wants to roll his eyes.

Interestingly enough my youngest child always colored every skin tone as green. We later found out he was color blind, and truly saw everyone as some variance of green. It serves as a reminder of the diversity in human experience and perception, illustrating that our understanding of the world can vary greatly, sometimes in surprising ways.

When I look at cars I tend to humanize them a bit, and when I saw this guy I could only envision that he had been in some sort of a heist. He has the villain eyebrows and a bit of a serious vibe. He looks like he probably has a story to tell, but he never will…

Pink Poppies - Original Art

I love poppies! Delicate pink poppies embody tranquility and grace - something I strive for on the daily...

My favorite way to grab a little bit of tranquility is to step outside and take a deep breath of cold winter air, stepping out into an early summer morning before it gets too hot, the gentle rustle of fall leaves in the breeze, and the smell of the world after a spring rain. I will admit, I’m not an extremely outdoorsy person, but these little connections with nature allow me to reconnect with the world around me.

Engaging in mindful practices such as meditation or deep breathing while surrounded by nature further enhances the sense of peace. I find that temporarily stepping away from the hustle of daily life, even for a brief period, allows me to recharge. These moments serve as a reminder of the beauty in stillness and the importance of nurturing a calm mind.

SOLD - Barbie Bronco - Original Artwork

I grew up playing with Barbie and her best friend Midge. She was an iconic piece of my childhood. My sister and I loved when my mom would help us to make clothes for them.

My parents made us some incredible gifts for Christmas while we were young. One of my favorite Christmas gifts of all came after watching my mom working painstakingly on two doll houses with little pieces of furniture. She told my sister and I that she was making the houses for our cousins…my sister and I were SO JEALOUS! When we unwrapped those houses on Christmas morning we were beyond thrilled. They were really amazing, and they were made with love by our mom. I still have mine, and I would bet my sister still has hers.

There is no better gift than one that is made with love, and one that lets you remember a simpler time.
