A Little Thank You 🤎
Today was a pretty big day around here. The new shed was officially open for the very first time, and I honestly don’t know if I have the right words to say how much it meant to see people stop by, shop, share my posts, cheer me on, and send so many kind words and encouragement 🥹🤎
Rooted Oats has always been so much more than just baking bread, and today was a really beautiful reminder of that.
I also have a whole lot of people to thank for helping turn this little shed from an idea in my head into a real place that I get to welcome you all into.
First, my dad ♥️ Thank you for listening to every single one of my ideas—even the probably slightly ridiculous ones—and helping me turn my vision into something real. Thank you for helping build it, paint it, and for supporting my love of old doors and old door k***s 😂 My favorite part of this entire shed is the old door and its old k**b 🤎 Thank you for making it all happen. I truly couldn’t have done this without you.
Don, thank you for all of your expertise, advice, help with building, and for offering your paint sprayer. All of your help made a difference, and I’m so grateful.
Mom, thank you for listening to me talk endlessly about the shed, entertaining all of my ideas, and helping me hunt down some of the decor pieces I had in my head 🤎
My brother and Tam, thank you for all of your interior layout and design ideas (you both know I can’t visualize stuff 😂) and for helping me make the inside feel like Rooted Oats 🤍
Kasie, thank you for helping me with all of the signs—and for bringing your very pretty handwriting along with you! 🤎 I’m so thankful you helped bring that part of my vision to life.
Chad, thank you for all of your help along the way. I appreciate you more than you know!
And last, but certainly not least, my husband Dylan ♥️ Thank you for going with me to get a million supplies, helping build (and somehow almost becoming a roofer in the process 😂), hanging shelves, moving things around approximately 37 times while I decided where they belonged, and helping me get every last little detail ready for today.
And thank you for putting up with all of my “I have an idea…” moments 😂
This shed may have Rooted Oats written on it, but it truly took a little village to get it here 🤎
So to everyone who helped build it, paint it, decorate it, encourage it, listen to me talk about it, share it, shop from it, or simply cheer me on from the sidelines…
